Happy Place

Thoughts

I have always loved cats, as you might guess from the digital paintings of Boba and Goose or the illustration 'Warmth'. Cats offer me comfort, their fur is great to cry in, they love licking tears, they never judge and usually listen, and they are warm and distractingly cute. If I'm having a hard time or therapy was particularly challenging, I go straight for a cat to cuddle. Happy Place I is from my point of view, looking at my legs covered in a blanket and cats. Happy Place II is me cuddling Goose closely. The eyes are big and expressive to show the charged emotions involved. Despite it being my happy place, I don't look happy. Perhaps it's more of my safe place. I can be authentic and stupid and cry with another life form.
